Quitting Is Not the Hard Part. Withdrawal Is.

Most people who drink heavily have already tried to stop. Then the shakes start, the sweats, the racing heart, the 3 AM dread, and a drink becomes the only thing that makes it stop. That is not weakness. That is withdrawal, and it is a medical problem with a medical answer. With supervision and, where appropriate, prescription support, withdrawal symptoms can be managed so the process is safer and more comfortable.

Not a 30 day rehab

You do not have to check in to check out of drinking. Ten days, outpatient, close to home. You keep your job, your family routine, and your privacy.

Not a walk in IV bar

A generic drip menu is not medical detox. This is a physician designed protocol with real oversight and safety monitoring from day one.

Not white knuckling it alone

Stopping suddenly can be medically dangerous. Medical support exists so you never have to find out how bad it can get on your own.

The Protocol Behind Your Recovery Was Not Invented Here. It Was Learned at Its Source.

In 2001, Dr. Richard Mestayer, MD and Paula Norris Mestayer, M.Ed., LPC brought intravenous NAD+ therapy to the United States and developed the original IV NAD+ protocol for supporting people through detox and recovery. It is now used by trained physicians across the country.

Dr. Nathan Eliason trained in that protocol at its source, Springfield Wellness Center, the clinic that pioneered this approach. Today he brings it to Murray, Utah as a private 10 day outpatient program under his direct medical supervision.

Not rehab. Medical. Private, outpatient, physician led.

American Wellness and Rehab Clinic is an independent clinic; Dr. Eliason completed training in this protocol. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Springfield Wellness Center. NAD+ is used as a supportive therapy during medically supervised care; it is not a cure for alcohol use disorder and is not FDA approved for this use. Individual results may vary.

What the 10 Day Detox Program Actually Looks Like

Private, structured, and physician supervised from day one. Here is how you get off alcohol without putting your life on hold.

1

Your free private call. A short, confidential conversation. We listen, we check your insurance for you, and we map your safest way to stop. Nothing is decided until you are ready.

2

Withdrawal symptoms managed medically. Dr. Eliason monitors you for comfort and safety, with prescription support where clinically appropriate to ease withdrawal and reduce its risks.

3

Daily NAD+ IV infusions. Each session runs several hours a day with a targeted vitamin protocol to support your body through detox and early recovery.

4

Nutrient and nervous system support. Thiamine, magnesium, B complex, and amino acid adjuncts. Standard supportive care during supervised detox, with a non narcotic approach: we do not substitute one drug for another.

🚗 We come to you on weekends. The first five treatments work best done consecutively, so if one falls on a weekend our team can administer your IV at home, keeping your recovery on track and private.

How NAD+ May Support Recovery

NAD+ is a coenzyme your body depletes with chronic alcohol use. Replenishing it is used to support, not replace, medically supervised care.

Cellular energy

NAD+ helps cells produce energy. Restoring it may support the mental clarity and focus that heavy drinking can wear down.

Brain chemistry support

NAD+ is involved in neurotransmitter pathways that alcohol disrupts, part of why it is used to help ease the discomfort of withdrawal.

Cellular repair

NAD+ supports the body’s natural repair processes, which is why it is included in recovery focused protocols.

NAD+ therapy is a supportive, emerging treatment. It is not a cure, and outcomes vary by individual. All clinical decisions are made by a licensed provider for your specific situation.

Honest Answers, No Pressure

Is it dangerous to stop drinking on my own?
For some people, yes. After heavy regular drinking, stopping suddenly can trigger withdrawal that ranges from uncomfortable to medically dangerous, including seizures. That is why we ask you to talk to us before you stop. A free private call or the 60 second check helps us understand your risk and get you the right level of support.
Do I really not have to go to rehab?
This is an outpatient 10 day detox program. You come in during the day, then go home. It is designed so you can keep working and keep your routines. If your situation turns out to need a higher level of care, we will tell you honestly and help you find it.
How do you help me manage withdrawal symptoms?
With medical supervision the entire way: monitoring for comfort and safety, prescription support where clinically appropriate to ease symptoms and reduce risks, and nutrient support for your nervous system. You are never left to tough it out alone.
Will my employer or family find out?
Only if you choose to tell them. Your care is private. We can provide a medical leave letter that never names alcohol if you need time away from work.
I’m worried about someone else’s drinking. Can I call for them?
Yes. Many of our first conversations are with a spouse, a parent, or a friend. Call us yourself and we will talk through what your loved one may be facing, what safe medical detox looks like, and how to bring it up without shame. The call is free and private, and you do not need their permission to ask questions.
What does the free private call cost me?
Nothing. The call is free, and the initial consultation is free and covered by most insurance. We verify your benefits for you. CareCredit financing may be available for eligible patients. No obligation, no pressure.
Do I have to talk to someone right now?
No. Start with the private 60 second check, or type to us in the chat bubble. We will text you back discreetly during clinic hours. No surprise calls. Nothing is decided today.
Was Dr. Eliason really trained in this protocol?
Yes. Dr. Eliason trained in the original IV NAD+ protocol, the approach pioneered at Springfield Wellness Center in 2001, and delivers it here under his own medical license and supervision.
Is this like AA?
No labels, no meetings, no requirement to call yourself anything. This is private medical care.
